This just started happening... When I plug my 2001 16 ft Cat. in, it starts beeping. It appears it is coming from the charging control panel under the seat, by the first set of batteries. Now my boat won't charge and is dead in the water.  Any help, suggestions, ideas?

Any chance of reversed polarity?

How would that happen? It was charging just fine before and all of the sudden now it beeps when I plug it in and it won't charge.  I've had dead batteries before and replaced them, but it didn't do that.

Do you see any evidence of burn damage on either end of the shore power cable?

Any chance either of the two ends is a twist-lock and not seating properly?  I have seen a polarity warning light at a nav panel when the shore-side plug was hanging a bit loose.

Did either end of the cable get dunked in the water or sprayed with water lately?

Do you have the means to swap out the cable for another?

No warning lights illuminated on the charger itself?

@administrator No burn marks and plugs are seated properly. As for water, we did have some good rains and the plug was sitting out.  I know it got really wet on the boat end of the plug. I let it sit for a couple of days to dry out before plugging it in. Do you think I just have to replace the cord or do you think it caused damage to the charger itself?  When I plug it in, the beeping begins and the Main charger panel, where it has the Main toggle switch to turn on/off, the charger light is on solid and the Fridge light is solid. But the first light that (Ok) and the 4th/last light (just says 15 amp) are dim and blinking. Does that make sense?

I think those observations will be really helpful if you can contact the company that made the charger.

One more thought. Can you check the voltage at the dockside outlet and on the boatside end of the shore power cable?

@administrator I won't be able to do that until later. I will let you know...
