Hello all,

While my question isn't specific to Batteries and Chargers, I am replacing both at this time.  My question is if any member is in possession of an original wiring diagram for a 2005 vintage Duffy?  As I've installed the new batteries, and looked at the "original" wiring, I can't believe some of the things I'm seeing.  The service office in Newport Beach, CA told me that no diagrams exist which I find hard to believe.

I am in the process of installing LiFePO4 batteries and a Victron charger/inverter.  These are installed and working but I'd like to clean things up while I'm in there.

Thanks, Mark

I've got the electrical schematic for a 2010 Duffy M160, which I've attached here.  You didn't mention your model, but I know my boat is not the same model as yours.  I believe Duffy tried to wire their boat models in a similar fashion, so this may be somewhat helpful to you.  The schematic includes every option Duffy offered on the M160, such as heaters, seat heaters, etc, so it's a little harder to read than it should be.  BTW, like you, I've happily transitioned to an LMC battery.

I hope this helps you, and good luck!

@robhouston  Much appreciated Rob, I just plotted it off.  I'll look for a model number when I go down to work on her today, then edit my opening post.

One of the things I found concerning on mine is the lack of a circuit breaker or disconnect means for the +48V supply to the motor drive.  I do see a number of smaller fuses scattered about for the smaller consumers on your drawing as well, but nothing for the drive itself.

Is there an archive on the forum where such documents can be stored/retrieved by all?

Cheers, Mark

@maw Mark, I don't believe there is an archive, or at least I've never found one.  Depending on your particular boat, there may be a fuse between the controller and motor in the white box with the controller and contactor.  Other than that, I don't believe there is a disconnect on our older boats, although one can easily be added.

The attached was supplied to me by Duffy, but there are quite a number of discrepancies when I tried to follow it.  It may however work for another member.
