Winter canvas cover?
The 22' Duffy I bought used (2008) came with a brand new never used canvas cover which I am assuming is for winter and came new from the factory. Does anyone have one of these? Trying to figure out how it is used, is the canopy removed, the frame removed etc....
We inherited a winter cover from the original owner and absolutely love it.
It seems to work best for us if you stretch out the cover on a clean surface, outside facing up. Fold the sides inward towards the bow/stern centerline of the cover, roll it up lengthwise from front to back, ending with with the stern end on the outside. Leave the surrey on the boat as is. Place the roll on top at the stern end. Slip the cover over the white running light (or simply lay the light down. I forget which). Then roll out the cover towards the bow, pulling out the sides as you go. Lines should be permanently attached beforehand to one side, run under the boat and then attached to the holes in the cover on the opposite side when in place. There should be a door on the cover which lines up with the door underneath, slots for the cleats, air vents, etc. It's beautifully made.
Hope this helps.
