Hello All,
I have found information on rebuilding a couple of different styles of throttle controllers but none like mine. Fortunately mine seems to be the simplest of all providing parts are available. I’m returning to the boat today to remove the throttle lever to and remove the sealant covering the potentiometer information and will post here. Any information about this style of throttle rebuild project is appreciated.
Wow, I haven't seen one like that before. Can you tell us the year and model of your Duffy, and perhaps the controller used with this throttle?
It's not entirely clear from the picture, but it's possible the "standard" microswitches used by Duffy are there, and they are available from Amazon. It will be interesting to see what kind of pot is under the sealant.
Have you confirmed that any problems you are experiencing related to the throttle? Since the only electrical parts on the throttle are the microswitches and pot, it should be straightforward to determine which component is the culprit.
Please let us know what you find.
